One of the most common questions I get before a first session: how much studio time do I actually need? The honest answer is that it depends on your songs and your goals — but here's how I think about it.
Start with the goal, not the gear
Are you trying to land shows and get something online fast? Building a cohesive body of work? Making the record you'll be judged by for years? Each goal points to a different scope. Recording more than you need wastes money; recording less leaves the work sounding unfinished.
The Demo Package — get moving
If you need quality recordings to book gigs, pitch to a playlist, or simply hear your songs done right, the Demo Package is built for that: focused studio time with mixing and mastering for a handful of tracks. It's the fastest path from rehearsal room to something you can share.
The EP Package — a real statement
When you're ready to put out a cohesive set of songs that hang together, an EP gives you the time for advanced mixing and a couple of revision rounds. This is where production choices start to matter — and where the extra hours pay off.
The LP Package — the full record
A full LP is the deep end: comprehensive tracking, mixing, and mastering across a dozen songs, with room for session musicians and additional instrumentation. It's the right call when the album is the goal.
Not sure? That's normal.
Most artists land between two options. Tell me about the songs and where you want them to go, and I'll tell you honestly what's achievable within your budget — we built this studio on that principle. See the full breakdown on the services page, or reach out and we'll figure it out together.
